Final draft MNMC Accreditation
Myanmar Nurse and Midwife Council (MNMC) held a one-day virtual workshops on Dissemination of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Guideline and Relicensing Process for Nurses and Midwives for nurses and midwives works for Ministry of Health and Private Sectors in Kayin and Mon States, and Sagaing Region. Separate virtual workshops for Kayin and Mon States, and Sagaing Region were held on 19-21 November, 2024 consecutively. Daw Nwe Nwe Khin, President of MNMC provided the opening remark. President and Central Executive Committee (CEC) members shared the following topics at a one-day virtual dissemination events:
– Daw Nwe Nwe Khin (President of MNMC): Regulation of Professional Practice through CPD and Roll-out Plan
– Daw Aye Nyunt (Vice President of MNMC): The importance of CPD system
– Daw Than Than Soe (Secretary of MNMC): Orientation to CPD Logbook
– Professor Daw Hla Hla Aye (Joint Secretary of MNMC): Standard Operational Procedure Manual of CPD system
– Dr Kyawt Kyawt Swe (CEC, MNMC): The CPD Mechanism and Responsibilities of CPD Providers
– Professor Daw Khin Thein (CEC, MNMC): CPD Types, Points and CPD Fees
– Daw Nan Nan Aung (National Consultant, WHO): Nurse and Midwife Regulation and Continuing Professional Development.
A total of 105, 66, 141 participants from Kayin and Mon States, and Sagaing Region respectively joined these separate workshops held on 2-4 November, 2024 consecutively. Participants included senior principals, principals, and teaching staff from Nursing and Midwifery Training Schools in these regions; nursing superintendents (deputy directors, assistant directors), matrons, nursing officers, sisters, staff nurses and trained nurses from hospitals and clinics under Ministry of Health as well as nurses and midwives from private hospitals in these regions. Completion certificates of the Workshop were awarded to the participants. Daw Nwe Nwe Khin, President of MNMC provided the closing remark.
