Myanmar Nurse and Midwife Council (MNMC) held discussions on Continuing Professional Development (CPD) systems with the nursing regulatory bodies in Malaysia and the Philippines. The meeting and discussion on CPD system in Malaysia and Myanmar was held at Thistle hotel on 22 September 2022 back to back with 25th Malaysia-Singapore nursing conference. Ms Devi K Saravana Muthu, Director of Nursing Division, Ministry of Health Malaysia presented and discussed about the regulation, policy and/or strategy of CPD for nurses. Daw Nwe Nwe Khin, president of MNMC and two central executive members, Daw Khin Thein and Dr Kyawt Kyawt Swe attended the meeting and discussed on the allocation of CPD points.
Meeting and discussion on CPD program was held at Sheraton Manila hotel on 28.9.2022 back to back with AJCCN meeting. Ms Merle L. Salvani, chairperson of CPD committee, Board of Nursing, the Philippines presented and discussed updates on CPD program for nurses in the Philippines. Daw Nwe Nwe Khin, president of MNMC and two central executive members, Daw Khin Thein and Dr Kyawt Kyawt Swe attended the meeting and discussed on the allocation of CPD points.
Meeting and discussion with commissioner of Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) of the Philippines was held at the office of the PRC in Philippine International Convention Center in Manila. The commissioner explained the Continuing Professional Development Accreditation System (CPDAS). Daw Nwe Nwe Khin, president of MNMC and two central executive members, Daw Khin Thein and Dr Kyawt Kyawt Swe attended the meeting and posed questions about accreditation of CPD providers and had a discussion on it.
